Odelle Morshuis
I’m a multi media artist. I move between painting, sculpture, often using the human figure as a way to explore presence, time, and the edge of visibility.
My process is hands-on and experimental — cutting and shaping metal, imprinting textures into clay, and painting figures that dissolve into their surroundings. I’m interested in how we move through landscape, how memories sit in the body, and how a figure connects to others and it's environment.
I work from my studio and gallery in Bannockburn where visitors are welcome to see works in progress and finished pieces. I also show work at Dicey Wines on Felton Road and am represented by Blackdoor Gallery in Auckland.
